            would a roof vent with cover help keep it cool and provide a way to exhaust air when it does get hot like rascalarms says?

              Built like a brick house. But yeah, looks uber hot. I'd brainstorm some ventalation options.

                I would lay some fiberglass matt from the side of the tank extending over the edge of the plywood.
                That would help keep the wood from getting wet as well as sealing the edge so you don't get water inside on the floor.

                Looks cool though.

                  It has a 2 inch plastic stip around the whole thing that's sealed inside, outside, everywhere that caulk can possibly go. I do want to do something to protect the small amount of exposed plywood. It's pressure treated, and painted, but will be the only thing to show wear compared to the tank.
