    When did the brotherhood stop?

Now I am not calling anyone out and I do not want you too so let us keep this thread going please. Serious question though, when did the TBH "brotherhood" go south? Sometime in the past 2-3 years something changed. Most who have been around for many years are very trustworthy and know exactly what I am talking about. Now there are so darn many people who will not keep their word and overall only think of themselves rather than the greater good. Just yesterday a brother and I were visiting about this very thing. I truly miss the "old" TBH and conversing with many of you here but now, too many snowflakes have ran things a muck.

The proof is in the pudding so to speak in that how many people have gone to Bownanza over the past say 5 years? Are those numbers going up as membership increases or are the numbers going down?

I'm relatively new here and I've only met some of you guys through the classifieds. I have already been burned on an express though. Still pretty PO'd about it. That said, I've also met some really great people that I would trust hands down.

As far as the "snowflake" comment, not so sure... while we do see a bunch of yahoos on the news that I HATE being associated with, there is a great number of well-mannered, hard-working, young men/women on here raised by hard-working, respectful parents... You know what kind of parents raise worthless children? Worthless parents. I associate the word "snowflake" with "flaming liberal"... of which there are very few in the hunting community. And I, for one, hope we keep it that way I really take offense to people collectively IDing every person of the younger generation as these spoiled, socialist losers we see on CNN. The reason you don't see the conservatives in my age group on TV marching is because we HAVE JOBS. We make our voices heard at the polls. I do at least. I imagine that older folks in every generation complain about the "youngsters." Just part of growing old I guess. The "long hair" thread the other day is a good example. "Get off my lawn you dang kids!"

As far as the "brotherhood" on TBH.... I don't have any friends/family on TBH but the first thing I mention is the comradery and the willingness to help absolute strangers. The Yardhouse "Pay it Forward" thread I saw today is a good example. I love this site.

EDIT to add an idea: I don't know what TBH was like in the early days. Was there a limited number of people? If there was and everyone knew each personally, I can see how there would be more of a sense of "brotherhood" like you mentioned. As the site grows and you find yourself surrounded by a bunch of strangers, I can see how you would lose that feeling. Maybe that explains the HS clique mentality had by some... Not talking trash just jealous that I don't get your inside jokes Lol

TBH is what you make of it.

Go back and look at the discussion of the fake Lyme diseases how many Prayers sent and well wishes.

Still way many more good folks around here than bad. The bad ones get weeded out fairly quickly.

I do believe you took my "snowflake" comment different than intended. I see a person as a "snowflake" as someone who is very fragile and easily offended at anything and everything that goes against what they think is okay. Age has nothing to do with it and I agree with you 100%, there are some great kids in this world and their are also some "adults" I wouldn't give a plug nickle for.

I hear ya. I didn't mean to fly off the handle lol I have seen lots of comments like that and had bit my tongue until now. I agree with what you're saying. I'm disgusted with the direction our country is headed and just HATE to be associated with those I mentioned. All starts with a lack of respect for others, especially authority. Sorry to derail... Carry on.

It's funny people say this all the time. Then, you have people like BoB that says people are so easily offended now, and they couldn't handle the "old" TBH. Complete opposite views about how things "were"
