Going to meet a hero tomorrow!

    At least one of mine.

My dad was shot down in North Vietnam in 1971 while on a reconnaissance mission in an F-4. One of the pilots of the Jolly Green helicopter that rescued him is in town visiting relatives. Going to go meet for coffee.

Still hard to comprehend the sacrifice so many made in that rescue. Sacrifice for someone they had never met. I only hope he can comprehend the immense appreciation and positive result of his sacrifice.

Still don't know where I'd be had I not had my dad around all these years.

Thanks and prayers for all veterans.

All I can say is WOW! I think I'd hug that mans neck and probably would have to be pried off him with a crow bar. That's amazing. Good luck with your meeting. It's going to be great.

Very cool. Give that man a bunch of extra hand shakes from the rest of us.
