Holy brow tines batman!! Dang looks like your move may work out ok! Good luck anyway! I'm gonna try to do both this year. Having gotten a new place down South... lots of work to do there and our place on the river here!! I don't even have cameras out yet here... Got a couple good ones behind the house though that I've seen... need to get cameras out to get a closer look... maybe this weekend.
Good luck to everyone!

Just a little west in Leon county, but we still have yupon and some pine trees. I’m not running any cameras this year and hand Corning only. Say a couple decent 8s last year that made it through the season.

Those are nice bucks but I’m more impressed you got a WI camera to work!!!! You must be living right!

I typically would be pumped but the monster I watched last year I fear is gone for good. I watched him with thermal A BUNCH. And used that to place cameras to get as close as I could. Missed him by 20 minuets twice as he moved on my property daily but juuusssttt too late. Last week of season one neighbor shot at and missed (had him on camera that night) then the last Saturday of season another neighbor (that has never missed) said she missed him at 60 yards.... with a 22-250. I had him on 3 cameras across 2 properties and haven’t seen a sight since and neither have other 2 neighbors

Acquired a new property this season and cleared and planted and set it up NICE... then oil company used my roads and food plots to make it easy on them to build a road to an abandoned plugged well to destroy all that (and now is doing nothing) and I went from 6 bucks and 3 does to... zero. Will see how this season goes. At least the well head makes a comfy toilet in case of emergency (I hate east Texas small oil thieves with all my being)

You gotta be kidding me, you're telling me there's deer in East Texas? And you must have photoshopped a daylight picture. Well heck I guess I may have a chance to at least see something besides cardinals......

I'm going to try to pull a card this weekend, the last pull a couple of weeks ago looked promising.

Have a couple of regulars at the house one is 5.5 year old main frame 9 with a drop about 2 inches that will be close on AR though. He has a dislocated shoulder from a fight last season. And another 9 pts that has some width but just started getting length on tines. Had a split beam buck a few weeks ago but not AR legal.

Bucks are grouped up thick behind my house, still no sign of the 13 point i hunted last year.
Been planting several cow pea plots on my other place and got my cameras out. Rain has been great for the summer plots!

Thanks, Iíve got my fingers crossed he shows up for the rut, doubt Iíll hunt back there until then so I donít end up burning my tag!

My other place is 1700 acres and split by two other counties. Itíll keep me occupied until then.
Pigs are bad there but weíve been running cellular traps trying to get ahold of them.

My daughter wants the wider one so maybe he will hang around till youth season.

Nothing promising for bucks in my area. Bunch of hogs and one doe with a very young fawn been seen on my cameras.

Not sure how this season will go. They are supposed to start logging the property I lease sometime this month.

Tony what happened to the 87 acre place? It get sold?

Wasn’t that the place where you chased all those good bucks the neighbors would wind up killing?

I finally got around to putting cameras out behind the house yesterday. Probably get more cameras going down at the South end of the county in the next couple of weeks... One thing I noticed yesterday evening that I hadn't been seeing was some fresh hog sign... I WILL be breaking out the night vision equipment... never see 'em around here in the daylight.
