The one year anniversary of the Santa Fe school shooting is upon us. The community did not rush to gun control like Parkland FL. Instead they have focused on some things that work - hardening the schools and mental health. See this article for a first hand account of what they are doing.

I'm proud of the reactions of the students @Santa Fe High School, their parents and the town as a whole and Texans in general. No kneejerk reactions, No call for immediate gun confiscation, No call for Republican heads to roll. Just good level headed discussion about how to strengthen the system to try to prevent future incidents like this. Way to go Texas!
