    LIVE from Laguna Atascosa

    Well actually hunting starts tomorrow.
Let me say a big thank you to the green screen guts that shared tips and pointers to this LA newbie. At least I feel like I had a plan coming down.
Scouting day in the books, the road was muddy so boots on the ground for 8 miles today. Found good sign so that's a start.
Wind was about 15-20 from the north so mot much moving. Tomorrow looks to be the same with rain. I may ride out the rain for at least half a day and come out around noon rain or shine hoping for a break before dark.
PoPo1984 is here with a buddy so I'm sure he'll chime in too.
    More tomorrow

Good luck! 8 miles! Let me know how many trips it takes to pack a Nilgai out?

Well I'm settled. Had to change plans due to not listening to those warning me about wet mud roads. Had to abandon the game cart a half mike in and plan accordingly. I'd never get anything out while it's wet, I'll try again sat.
47* still that 15-20 mph north wind with a little mist off and on. May rain later. Good day to be in a box blind instead of the open on public land but you can't kill em from camp. Should be 60 by noon, fingers crossed.
          My plan B view
          More later

Gun, and it would be perfect if the wind would die some. guy missed a buck earlier due to rushing a shot but its been dead from everyone else ive talked to.

The rio Grande valley is windy almost always, doubt it will die down before sunset but I hope it does, good luck
