2019 Live Montana Elk Hunt

With work winding down and my gf and I at a place where we can take some time off we decided to leave a week early and drive up to Montana for my elk hunt. She wants to see Santa Fe and the Grand Canyon. We will also stop in Page, Arizona to see Antelope Canyon, stay a night in SLC, and a night in Bozeman before she catches a flight and I head out for opening morning with a few good friends.

Last season was one for the books, we were on elk every day and some big boys showed up towards the tail end of the hunt. With opening day a week later than last year it should be great timing. Here are some photos I took last year and some past success from this hunt.

Me and my brother in law are already planning a trip to milk river to shoot a deer next year, maybe combo an elk.
Bought my preference point last week.
