They’re not allowing us to check in guns till opening day? For some reason i don’t remember this being the case last year I’m almost certain we checked in day before opener..is this what everyone’s hearing?

Depends on your gun paperwork. Some are only good for season. Probably your problem.

It’s all good, kiddos are getting bigger to get them in the woods. So got off to do so. Hunting in Leakey now. I’ll be hunting thru all you Mexico hunters !!!

Your gun permit should have an “entry” and “exit” date on it.

That's your hunting agreement. It wont necessarily have the same date as your gun permit.

The permit itself has its own dates.
