What a difference 20 inches makes

I have a 42" deck on my riding mower for my 1.12 acre lot around the house. My neighbor has a John Deere tractor with a bucket, 60" deck and he just recently got a pull behind mower for it, I'm jealous.

Yeah, my husband mows with a 60" Scag and wonders why I don't see the point in a 5 foot shredder. Most of what I shred is just Bermuda grass, although soon I'll be shredding my goat weed.

I used a 48" then went to a 60" Scag and love it. I keep up about 5 acres. I can do it in about 4 1/2 hrs. If I don't let it get too thick.

Yep, I went from a 42" Hustler to a 60" JD and it shaved off at least 45 minutes for me.

I'm envious! I would love to buy a mower that size but it would cost me an extra several thousand dollars because I would have to buy a bigger shed to put it in.

Just being me, I called an ask about to 72inch diesel, I was told the cat diesel that ferris has the contract with does not meet emission standards, with the redesign of the engine they would have to redesign the mower to accommodate the bigger engine. With all that being said, it would be a $30K mower. Uhmmmmm, No thank you.
