Open at 7am close at 6pm. Basically open all day. Gonna try that and see his it works for us. Not sure if I might need to close it off a little earlier.

What type of feeder mech is that?

The lower unit is one of my Timed protein mechanism. $350 for the lower unit. If you feed free choice protein and have raccoons, this will save you that much protein in your first 2 fillings.. Also programs your deer to eat during the day light instead of night time. Of course if you want it open 24 hours a day it can do that too.. Also can set to open during deer season at the same time as your corn feeder goes off both morning and evening..

Works great for keeping bucks in your area..
