Default SwampRabbit going live (2017)

Lets see how this season goes. This will be my third WT season hunting with traditional gear. I did a continous live thread late last year and I figured I would do another this year.

Right now I am mostly packed and am procrastinating on pulling out the last remaining, non-hunting essentials for the trip to the lease tomorrow.

I should probably elaborate on the sammiches situation.

I too, prefer crust on my bread.
I dont normally like mayo

However, 2 years ago, when I was javi/hog hunting with a group og TBHers, my pasture buddy Tim brought a big tub of premade sammiches that his wife had made up. We ate off those things for 4 days... and they were fantastic.

So now, when my wife asks me what I am going to eat, because she knows I will starve myself in favor of hunting... I have her make me a tub og sammiches.

The key to having a tub of sammiches that are not soggy is you ditch the crust and you put mayo on both sides.

It is now a tradition passed along by a TBHer I chance encountered due to a group hunt... I like to think I learn something from everybody I have met on this great site.

Well I checked my favorite spot... the spot where I have killed the most deer, including the only 2 with my stick bow...

Feeder full...
Battery dead...
Blind chewed up by cows...

So now I am sitting in my chair, tucked into some very dense cedar... about 12 yards from some really soured corn... crossing my fingers that the fresh hog tracks nearby are used again this evening.

Looks like y'all got some rain? Tires are a little muddy. It's drier here than I remember it being in September in a long time.

There is a feeder about 60 yards away that is about to throw in 10 minutes... already wondering what deer will show up there... I can't see it because I picked the tightest shooting lane I could.
