Date of pic will determine pre rut / post rut. I don’t understand why we can’t see his horns. I’ve never heard anyone use horns to help age unless they have history on deer.

Barrel chested, big heavy brisket, gray face, torn ear from fighting, scars on the head and neck area, calloused on the front legs. All indicators is he is definetly mature. To pick a exact age? Naw, cant do that, but he is mature.

Rutted out deer look younger.

That buck has some age on him for sure!

- heavy wrinkling around the base of his ears
- skin sagging under his chin
- loose skin forming a crease along his windpipe
- briske sags below the line of his belly

My guess would be 7.5 in the pics
