Handmade Axe

Found some scrap and decide to make a camp axe.
Cut out profile from 3/4" 316 stainless plate

LOTS of grinding!

Overlayed the tip with a harder weld metal


Cut out 18" handle from some 1/4" stainless plate, and welded on axe head

Filled up and ground down smooth from head to handle.

Handle material rough cut and ready for epoxy.



Finish sanding and coated with sealer
