Per hour.
How much should they get paid per hour to watch all four kids at the same time?

You pick the dollar amount but they should all be paid the same baby sitter wage.

One baby sitter sits there and smokes cigarettes and watches jerry springer while the kids crawl around in dirty diapers. The other baby sitter reads books to the kids, teaches them their abc's, and really takes care of the kids all day. But hey, at least they are making a livable baby sitter wage.

The downside of a minimum wage is that it will drive up the cost of living across the board.

Why should the govt decide what is a fair wage to take care of a child or 4 at the same time...that should be discussed & agreed upon by the customer & client where both sides are content.

The minimum wage should have nothing to do with your scenario but unfortunately there are many employers who abuse the minimum wage and don't reward the better employee.. and the employee is trapped, needs the money and so takes the wage..

I know a lot of people who are very good at their skilled jobs (machine operators/machinist) who would get a raise if the minimum wage goes above $10 and none are receiving welfare or food stamps.. Some people are trapped by circumstance...

In Russia they may be trapped, in China they may be trapped, in Cuba they may be trapped. In those countries they may be executed if they don't do what their boss says. Has nothing to do with being secretive. Again, how much I pay the daycare is irrelevant. That is a private agreement made in the light of capitalism.

Listen, it's not right or wrong, but if you are for government controls of pay and private industry, you have socialist tendencies. I'm not "putting you down". However, you need to own it.
