I'm knee deep in that right now. I have an 8.5 month old daughter.

Woah, God bless her. I love my daughter, but wouldn't want to be in your daughter's shoes...

My daughters shoes? Hell, I'm the .gov that has to subsidize.

You know, because I'm Socialist and all.

My daughter started daycare at around 1100. Slowly dropped to 875 over 3.5 years. We moved to SATX and she's in pre k now and it's between 6-700 month for that.

I had to pay for my son to attend pre k within our school district although all the spanish speaking kids went for free including free meals. I get to pay school taxes and then subsidize the other kids free sh$$ for an additional $250 / month. Such a wonderful and logical system.
I have no reverence for this nor do I feel some obligatory appreciation for those that work for minimum wage but for those young kids working while in primary or secondary school trying to get to the next level because they realize that minimum wage jobs are not intended for long term success.
By the way I worked almost every minimum wage job there is in my determination to not work a minimum wage job for the rest of my life.
