Caught (and ate) some catfish this morning/today

They're not running thick yet on the bulkheads but shad was easy to catch and catfish bit good enough for lunch. That's a size 13 boot and my hands are huge (when looking at the fillet). I think I'll go take a nap now.....so full!

Lol and big feet equals.......big socks. Forgot to mention I only caught 4 but could’ve fed 4 people. Lots of leftovers. Each one was 2-4 lbs.

Next time you plan to keep/eat a catfish cut the tail off. Make sure to cut through the bone. Amazing how nearly all the blood will drain out and you're left with pure white meat.

I do that on the bigger ones. But these guys I get the pure white meat by cutting them into nuggets and then turn the hose nozzle on JET and spraying the fillets in a bowl till it stops making greasy bubbles. Doing this kinda circulates the fillets while power washing them clean. Whitest meat ever.
