Not at the moment. Something I’ve been tossing around the idea of doing.
Should I be leery of Farm Bureau?

      Care to expand on that?

I guess it depends if you want to be self employed or an employee.

Farm Bureau agents are managed and employees.

My thought was to learn the ends and outs of it as an employee, and break out once I have a good grasp on how everything works.

          Thoughts?

In for info too. Seems I’ve been reading a lot of mixed reviews on doing this through State Farm

Wife and I are both agents.

You have to be an entrepreneur.

We have a sales man swing buy the office a few times a month. He was talked into a state farm office several years back. He said they give no support once you have your office established. They allow several offices to open in a small geographic area. As a result he closed the doors after a few years. Would not.reccomend it to anyone.

That's not accurate at all. That sounds like someone that couldn't make it work.

They put more money and time into new agents than any company I know. No one else does a paid internship. I've been doing it 8 years and still get more support than I want sometimes.

Not saying its perfect my any means but my family has gone through opening agencies twice and we wouldn't do anything else.

                          Fixed it for you.

Agents don't actually work do they?

Define "work". I'm hoping that surfing TBH while my employees sell insurance will somehow fit your definition!

Relative to most agents I know, I work A LOT!

Don't you have a storm to chase?

That's the only reason I picked on you

I don't chase storms anymore - they chase me.

Been in Florida so long, I'm thinking about buying a Cadillac and coloring my hair blue.

Wish my wife would go forward with a agency. She makes some good money doing it.
