What are your thoughts on the deer on the far right?

Bad angle.
At least 2.5 for sure, might be 3.5

yep.... bad angle for sure. That 8 on the left hand side was 7+, just for reference.

Long legs and skinny neck looks like 2.5 maybe 3.5 but really need a side view.

Looks like a doe so I'm going with 2.5

Side view needs to show front shoulder to compare with back end but the head is blocking it.

Just curious: why are you whiting out his antlers?

Make sure and use your antler less tag with that cloud that hovers over his head.

Because you're not supposed to look at the horns when you age. He might be small or he might be huge.

I'll post up photos with his horns later though. I went back and forth on this deer for a while.

Ya don't say?

So, you know the age but just want to see who is right or wrong?

Kyle is right, you shouldn't look at antlers when aging from looks. If it is a toss up between two ages I might look at mass but never size or number of points.

I thought he was 2 also... he got whacked. First spike I've seen personally that wasn't a 1 year old.

2 I guess. I was curious what other people would see him as. I didn't want to post his horns because a lot of people think spikes are always 1 year Olds. Like I said above, this was the first one I've seen first hand that I thought wasn't a yearling spike.

I don't believe in culling young deer, but wouldn't want that one to reproduce or eat a good deer's feed either.
