Strongest way to glue metal to plastic?

I want to glue a metal magnet to my rangefinder..

    What do you guys think?

Gorilla Glue? E6000? Some epoxy from Autozone like JB Weld where you mix the chemicals in the syringe together? Something else?

hmm... maybe. But I think most golf club epoxies rely more on expansion than actual adhesive, sort of like the water activated Gorilla glue.

I would try the R6000, it's strong bond with a little give, not brittle like super glues.

Sounds like you know what you're talking about more than I do!

Whichever you try, I would score both surfaces, will give the adhesive something better to grab on to. Also. clean both very well with acetone.

Home Depot or Lowe’s get the 50/50 mix that is 12-25 hour set time. Golf club epoxy is best, but The aforementioned is the closest, unless you have a golf galaxy near by. Only way to get this stuff loose is heat. My business goes up in summer due to people leaving clubs in hot cars and their clubs are assembled with an inferior epoxy.

JB Weld after scuffing both surfaces. Or a locktite.

They got something to make anything stick to anything else.

2 ton and a clamp until dry. It shouldn't move after that

Latapoxy 310 quickset. My father always had it in the monument shop, for use on granite. During the 30 yrs I was there, we glued everything under the sun with it, including a rip in the bottom of a flatbottom. JB weld ain't got sheet on it. We stuck a panel to a wall once, and it set crooked. My dad spent close to 2k, to have special wires built, just to cut through it. The guy in California that built the wire, said he had never seen anything that tough to remove.

I’d use locktite superglue for that. I’m not a fan of gorilla glue.
