Fun day for it. What are the backpacks for? I am shocked at lack of cover. Have heard about this place. Looks like grazed down pasture. So you either see the placed birds sitting on the ground or know they are going to be at whatever cover like tree limbs is on ground?
There is another spot with better cover, but with this wind the area we are hunting is better protected

OK gotcha. That is great they got some phez. They will be hooked for sure! They are tough to be hunting in this weather. I don't know how yall are going to fare in the tents tonight. They might be igloos by morning

It was my pleasure to go visit the hunt this afternoon and spend a couple hours hanging out with the volunteers, hunters and parents, and watching all the great action! Everybody was having fun and learning, which is what TYHP is all about.
Hat's Off to Huntmasters Jim Edwardson and Mark Freis for their efforts in putting together a great hunt, and a shout out of thanks to Ross Jones of Pecan Ridge Outdoor Center for hosting TYHP once again!!!
Great time, great hosts. Met some great people. If you haven’t already, check out tyhp. They are doing great things

Pleasure to meet you and your son. Hope to see y'all again in the future.
Another shout out to TYHP for the awesome program and people involved. FYI - They are hosting a Hunter's Ed event March 23rd and 24th (see Youth Hunt Schedule at TYHP.org) at Inks Lake to get the hunters ed certification that is required for youth to participate on a TYHP hunt. It's a fun way to get certified and they run it like a hunt except it's a fishing event.
