    Gas Prices

Enjoy the low prices now and stock up
If Clinton is elected we will likely see 6 or 7 bucks a gallon very soon.
She has already gone on record saying she is going after big oil and the middle class.

We can't afford it folks. Especially the retired folks that live on a fixed income of their own money.

Can't make people happy when you work in the oil business.

That gallon of gas people put in their cars had to be found (as crude oil), drilled for, then pumped out of the ground, transported to a refinery, refined, have chemicals mixed into it, and then transported again to a gas station. Yet people get upset when it cost more than a gallon of water.

Speculator! That kind of talk drives up the price. Just take it easy now.

That gallon of gas people put in their cars had to be found (as crude oil), drilled for and huge drill permit tax, then pumped out of the ground huge environmental tax , transported to a refinery more taxes, refined - countless taxes for refinery plant to be built and operated, have chemicals mixed into it, and then transported again to a gas station which pays property tax/FED tax/franchise tax and on and on. Yet people get upset when it cost more than a gallon of water.

they do it to themselves raise prices as they see fit like insurance companies do as they please as long as politicians are on their payroll thru super pac funds and such. some oil companies testified before congress about huge profits for the quarter and year trying to justify the price of gas and diesel ,and what happened to them? nothing.they had no REASONABLE answer like the auto bail out or the V.A. scandal giving themselves huge raises.just my 2 cents

I'll preface this by saying I don't care for either of them... But my prediction is that Hillary will do about as much to oil as Obama has done to guns. Little to nothing.

People were convinced that Obama was going to take our gunnnzzzzz. They bought into the completely unfounded hysteria and made the gun/ammo industry a bunch of money while worrying themselves sick over something that simply did not happen and wasn't going to happen.

I'll raise you 10 cents on how it really works:

Neither oil companies nor the government set the price of oil: it's a globally and publicly traded commodity, the price of which is determined by a combination of supply/demand, speculation, and market sentiment. Additionally you have to consider that oil is VERY inelastic.

Oil company lobbyists spend their time trying to convince politicians to reduce their tax and regulatory burdens, not to increase the price of oil because, well, that's impossible. All the government is capable of is taxation and regulation.

Excise taxes on inelastic goods are definitely regressive.

I realize they don't control prices of oil and that like any other commodity supply and demand set the price, but just like OPEC is doing they flood the market and manipulate price and profit margin
