I only ever load one round at a time in all my bolt actions through the ejection port. I wonder why I do that. Never thought about it.

Other than the Thompson compass break actions, are there any other single shot models with interchangeable barrels that are accurate and reliable?

Any thoughts on the CVA Hunter at Academy?

Browning 1885 Single shot in 7mm Remington Mag. I shoot it because its a pretty gun. AND, it shoots great. AND, its nostalgic.

Depending on the make/model, the overall gun length and weight is reduced with the single shot as there is no action. Nice to carry in the field in addition to a good start with youth.
