    Rufous hummingbird

Took these earlier in the week at Kleb Woods in Harris Co. Resident bird there though he does hide during the winter I am told. Not sure what happened to his "toe". I like shooting hummingbirds (all birds actually) in case you couldn't tell.

Calling this one a young male but to be honest I'm not familiar enough with them to be sure it's not a female.

I know they'll fight over a feeder as much as any of the rest of them, had a pair get lost and stop by my house for a few weeks about two years ago, eye catching little birds.

Good photos! I like the throat on the first one, focus grabbed all the detail nicely.

Great photos. What lense are you using? Reason I ask is I will be working in Trinidad for a couple years and they have a gazillions hummingbirds down there. Hoping to put my camera to use while I'm there.

beautiful photography, and I enjoy my hummers also. Keep my feeder going right by my window near my easy chair.

Yes great pictures, the detail is better then seeing them in person, crazy. And yea that first one has a toenail that is out of wack. Or at least I don't think its supposed to be that way. Very very cool pictures.

Cool. My in-laws saw one at their feeder recently.
