        Also if you have a graph try setting jugs just off drop offs and channels. Find the bait at night and the fish shouldn’t be to far.

            Shad only!!!!!!!that lake is full of shad. They don't want sunfish right now. Fresh cut shad and fish at night!!!

                I only jug in spring and fall. Favorite time is when water is 58-72 they will work shallower in those temps.

                  I try to set them just off the edge of it depending on what lake I’m in. And I usually set at least 3 jugs together.

                      Catfish will be laying suspended just above the thermocline. This is generally around 22-25 ft in most lakes. If you have good electronics you can usually see the thermocline on the screen. You will also see the fish suspended right above it. BIG Gills and 6-8" gizzard shad are your go-to baits for big kitties. Garlic soaked chicken works well for eaters. I would be dropping the baits to about 20 ft or so and float them across wind blown points. Bite will be slow but best in the early morning hours til 8 or 9 am.
