    Barn and Stars Timelapse

I pointed the camera towards the lights of Gatesville and let it go for a couple hours. The results are below. It is actually better to watch in youtube as embedded here it's kinda small.

        Awesome!

I knew I wouldn't have to get up at 4am to see a shooting star

I focused on a distant light with the camera then switched to manual focus so it would not change. The camera was secured to the tripod and my intervalometer plugged in. I set the intervalometer to take an exposure every 15 seconds. I used ISO 3200 and f4.5 for 10 seconds for the images. After a couple test shots to confirm the stars were showing up and everything seemed set, I put a 3 minute delay on the intervalometer which gave me time to get in the truck and drive back to the house before the camera went to work. I tripped it, bolted to the house and then watched for the red light on my camera indicating it was doing its thing. After two hours, I went and picked it up, turned it off, went to bed.

I pulled the images into lightroom and made very slight adjustments including cropping the video size I wanted. Exported the 470 images to jpegs. I then pulled the images into Premiere and set up the video length, watermark logo and music. I did back the speed down by 50% to give me more video to enjoy.

                  That's about it!

Top notch right there Casey. Now I gotta figure out this new Nikon D7100 to do some of the same.
