He isnt even Hispanic. Its "Pocahontas" all over again.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus, a 26-member group established in 1976 and currently chaired by U.S. Rep. Rubén Hinojosa, D-Edinburg, includes as its goals “voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands,” according to the organization’s mission statement. It also includes task forces on civil rights, education and labor, and diversity and inclusion. O’Rourke, whose nickname is popular among Latinos, is not a member because he lacks Hispanic heritage.
I like how you left out the pic of Robert with "Beto" on his shirt as a toddler/little boy. Pic is in same article.

Him signing Robert on arrest record means nothing. I go by my middle name, but sign my first name when that is what appears on a document.

“My parents have called me Beto from day one, and it’s just — it’s kind of a nickname for Robert in El Paso. It just stuck,” O’Rourke

His parents are named Pat and Melissa. They are very Irish. Hence the big "O" in their last name. I know you got your heels dug in here 'Retto, this just doesn't pass the smell test for me.

Your argument matters not. The signs all over Texas say Beto. That should be more of a concern than what he goes by.

Just got off the phone with another Beto volunteer. She asked me if I knew who Beto was and I said the Irishman Robert Francis pandering to the Hispanic community. I asked her about his arrests, then asked about Robert wanting to take care of all the children in Juarez!! She did not have a lot to say. I commended their efforts and hung up. They are putting out the effort, especially here in Williamson County...

Ehhhhh, Teddy spent yesterday tweeting Roberts mug shot and band pictures. Which I think only added to Roberts street cred. I would put the figure around 116% of Roberts supporters dont know that his parents are named Pat and Melissa O'Rourke. I do think that is relevant that his parents are a bunch of Irish spudjunkies.

Again, it doesn't matter. You can look at the dude and know he's not Hispanic. And with the last name of O'Rourke, well, he's not going to fool anyone into thinking he's Hispanic.

“Friday in Dallas is not going to happen, but I’m convinced we will debate," O'Rourke, D-El Paso, said during an interview at the Texas Disability Issues Forum on Monday.

Letters have gone back and forth between both campaign teams since April, when O'Rourke challenged Cruz to a series of six debates, including two in Spanish. Cruz's team did not acknowledge the invitation and instead issued its own challenge months later, asking O'Rourke to participate in five debates on specific dates in specific cities

I think it will happen.

I don't care what their names or nicknames are, whether they speak Spanish or not, or anything like that. One of them is a socialist, and other guy is a champion of the Constitution, small government, and individual freedom. That's all I need to know when I go into the voting booth.

Yeah, he came up with that cute little nickname during a debate when Cruz busted him on some of Trump's own inconsistent statements. But neither Trump nor anyone else could then or can now name any specific lies from Cruz. Whether you agree with his principles or not, Cruz is one of the few people in politics that consistently says what he means and what he intends to do, and then does what he said he'd do.

But He just tells it like it is ... He doesn't deal with fake news or pc bullsh. If you dont agree you can get a pacifier and retreat to your safe space with all the other Libs.

Ain't this the truth. Beto is nothing but a George Soros, Socialist/Commie plant that wants to ruin this great country. Why people cannot see this just baffles this. I truly think there is too much liberal poopoo in their eyes and they cannot see.

You really want to get sick to your stomach? Read this written about Beto (found on Drudge) that is comparing him to Obama in 2007.

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018...the-next-obama

Here was the message I sent to this “journalist”:

“Your VF article is comical, at best.

You salivate to Beto, much like the journalist of your kind did to Obama in 2007 due to his “ability to fill stadiums, command attention in both traditional and social media, sell T-shirts, suck in small-dollar donations, stir up genuine excitement among millennials...”

What did those 8 years of Obama give to Americans? What large accomplishments of Obama’s can you name for me? Other than dividing an entire country, weakening us on the world stage, exploding race relations and choking out the economy to near death, what good did he do? Oh... he filled stadiums.... sold t shirts... hyped up millennials. That really got us far. Your version of Beto from 2007 is the reason Trump is in office to begin with.

He doesn’t stand a chance in Texas or on the Main Stage. He’ll get chewed up and spit out like an In-N-Out burger on a boycott day.

What a despicable excuse for journalism. I just hope you were decent enough to wipe your face off before you guys pulled into Corpus.”

I listened to a conversation yesterday with several 20 something year olds at a welding/fab shop on the east side of SA that I service.

They think the "Beto" sign is cool, but sounded like they dont vote because its a "waste of time and its all rigged", and of course Trump sucks because he is a millionaire and a hater.

I interrupted the conversation and asked them how the shop was doing, "we been working overtime since the beginning of the year and I am doing pretty good, we have a lot of work forecasted as well".

My reply to them, "Yeah I remember a few years ago when y'all got hired that there was serious doubts you would become full time because the economy sucked, I wonder what changed to get all this work.

I got this answer from one of them, "yeah but he hates people and wants to build a wall".

I really does remind me of Barry Sorento. So many people are drawn to a few sound bites, and internet memes.

From Teds website -

It’s actually fairly simple. O’Rourke and his campaign consultants are afraid that the earlier he is put under the glare of the spotlight, unfiltered by the mainstream press, then the truth about his extreme views and reckless voting record will come to light for all Texans to see.

You see, on the one hand we have Ted Cruz who has helped fight for massive tax relief for Texas families, led the charge on Hurricane tax relief for Texans in need, spearheaded critical efforts to secure our border and prosecute criminal illegal immigrants, passed bi-partisan NASA re-authorization funding, passed legislation that expanded 529 education savings accounts for public and private primary education, and shepherded dozens of measures that have strengthened our military and national security.

In contrast, how many Texans have placed an O’Rourke yard sign in their lawn not knowing the truth about their candidate? That Beto O’Rourke voted against those same tax cuts, against Hurricane Harvey tax relief. He opposes Israel’s Iron Dome, proudly touts his “F” rating from the NRA, has called for the impeachment of the President of the United States, and said he was open to abolishing ICE and to consider the legalization of all narcotics.

https://www.tedcruz.org/blog/why-bet...with-ted-cruz/

If they do end up debating I hope Ted gets that thing out of his mouth he had in their last time.
