It's that time of year again! Please post up any trail cam pics, LDP's, and general updates so that we can all keep track!

Good luck to everyone this weekend!

How was everyone's dove hunting this weekend? We were at our place on Coleman County and it was probably the worst opener in a long time!! Ready for bow season.

I hunted Friday out past Hamby. It was the worst opener I've ever had. I got 2 birds. We had loads of birds a couple weeks ago, but a week of NE winds off the hurricane took them south, I guess.

My son hunted yesterday at Sweetwater with his girlfriend and her family. They had a spot near a grain elevator that was loaded with collered dove. Zach shot over 50.

Ours was horrible! Dad and I shot one bird between us, and saw very few flying.

I'll be hunting in Callahan and Nolan counties this year. Antler growth is looking about average on our Callahan place, and I have a new place on the Taylor/Nolan county line. Seeing tons of pigs and turkeys on that place, and a few young bucks. May try to stick a pig this afternoon if I can stand the heat. I hope everyone has a great year and that we can keep this thread populated.

Had great dove numbers out at our new lease close to Moran in Shackelford county. Hunted Friday evening with my neighbor and his son. Probably killed 45 between 4 of us. First year in this lease with Perow and have not seen a lot of big deer yet but seeing young bucks and doe right now. Here is our dove crew...

A nice up and coming 9 point, and a solid 8 that we have a bit of history with.

Several young bucks are hitting the feeders...acorns seem to be about done dropping.

Hoping to put up a camera on the wheat field in the next week or so to see whatís coming in. Love this time of year!

My Dads on his 26th year @ a lease in Callahan county, its about 15 miles west of cross plains off highway 36

Been a great place all these years, I hunted there as a kid and try to get out there with my Dad at least once a year, I literally have memories of killing animals on almost every portion of the place, there mainly rifle hunters so they will start ground chking them opening weekend of rifle, I'll post pics

I shot a 135" 8pt off it 2 years ago and one of the lease members shot a 154" 10 pt off it 2 years ago as well

It's my Dad and 3 buddies who hunt it and they have one maybe 2 corn feeders going each year, not a single enclosed blind, they mainly just sit under a live oak in a lawn chair and watch the mesquite flats/rattle

I always give my Dad a hard time about needing to set up tree stands and protein feeders etc and honestly they kill studs every year with little to no work involved, kinda enjoy the simplicity myself every once in awhile

It's a dang good area that I think is looked over sometimes for big deer

It's by far the best area I've ever hunted for rattling, it's prolly nothing to south texas but I can remember as a kid rattling in a dozen bucks of a morning numerous times
