How many sits/hunts this season?

Today is my 15th day in a stand this season. A total of 23 hunts or really just sitting in nature. It's been slow so far with just 3 sighting and one almost shot opportunity, dang cows. Have several on camera but just haven't been in the right place at the right time. So I was just wondering an I fortunate that I got to go or cursed that I got to go.

Big time fortunate! !!!! I'm on about 15 or more........sitting now. SW wind and warm temps give few options but better than not hunting! Oh, I hate cows also.......until they hit my plate.......lol.[emoji1]

8 days so far for me. Could have killed 2 yearlings so far, but decided to wait for something a little older. Average according to TPWD. Seems a little low to me. I would think about 30 days in the field would be the norm

I have made at least 34 hunts over a lot of days so far. Was seeing some younger bucks early on and does every hunt. Then the cooler temps and buck sighting have increased some sets and none on others. I think I have seen 3 4yr+ old bucks so far. None of them are what I want to shoot this year. Getting a few more pics in the daylight hours vs night. Been a much different year for buck movement in October than in past years.

Haven't been out once yet due to my daughter breaking her foot opening weekend and having to have surgery the following week. Finally getting to go this weekend though.

15-20. Hunting lbj grasslands this year. Got a doe October 8th morning. Shot a nice buck 130ish last Saturday evening. Hit a little high and unsuccessful recovery. Spent Sat night and all day sunday looking. Kinda sick feeling but back at it this evening. Pretty good deer sightings most sits. 50/50
