Getting cut is part of the deal. Only guaranteed money is a bonus.

Besides, they get paid riding the pine or when they are out injured. They do not seem to have a problem accepting those checks.

They need to hurry up this offense or it won't be enough time in the game to come back

Down 19 going into the 4th quarter, let's keep trying to run it. Lol. O'Brien is suspect. I have a feeling they're going to blow this thing up after season. O'Brien isn't quite the qb guru and offensive mastermind as made out to be.

I picked them to go 8-8 this season. They will have to make lots of improvements to reach that mark.

Just turned the game on, doesn't look good for a win. Lots of penalties and turn overs, its safe to say they haven't peaked just yet. Well back to the weather channel and then the mower....

They have been building that defense for a few years now. It's about time they finally showed something.

This made me laugh. O'Brien has zero creativity and no ability to find a way for his talent to be successful. This deficiency will keep him from beating creative coaches, you know the ones who beat us with their 3rd string quarterbacks, running backs and receivers. Unless by some miracle, he gets a team who can exactly run his offense without modification and better coaches suffer season ending injuries on multiple key players, he won't go far in the playoffs. It's tiring to watch them run up the middle on 1st down every time and then scream at them to do something different.

I've got a feeling this might be a looooong season.

Gotta pay them linemen these days.

O'Brien ought to be strung up for starting Savage. Watson may or may not be the answer....but they had zero chance to win with Savage.

Bob McNair is loyal to a fault. He has 2 of the most incompetent people in high positions and is accepting of their mediocrity.
Rick Smith and Bill Obrien both need to go.

How do you put up such a pathetic performance against the lowly Jaguars on opening day?
6-10 at best for this garbage team

Man the Texans looked bad. The D is supposed to be the part we can rely on. Bortles made them look like a highschool team. The O-line was god awful.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but I actually thought Watson actually didn't look bad at all given that he was playing from way behind with one half left and a line that refuses to block.

I heard someone say OB tried to pass blame to savage ..saying something along the lines of he shouldve done more to get out of the pocket....
How about...jumping on your Carr era ****ing OL for not blocking anything that near them....?
Same ****... different year... blame the QB for not being fast enough when hes running for his life every play.

Tom Savage threw 13 pass attempts & only 1 while he was being shoved to the ground did not hit his receiver in both hands!!

He absolutely has the skills to be an NFL QB. O'Brien should feel like an *** after overreacting again.. no we would not have won the game, no that o line would not have held up.

This. If the O-line would actually block and the Defense didn't just lay down and die, Savage is more than adequate.

Savage? He was on the Texans roster, he was stashed on the IR as I recall for an injury, and they wish they could have pulled him off later that year.
