    Top sowing crimson clover?

Has anyone had any luck top sowing crimson clover? Three of my plots were looking pretty thin, so I spread out some pre inoculated seed on them right before a hard rain. Not a ton of water, but I think hard enough to get some decent germination. We’ll see.

IME clover takes 3/4" rain minimum to germinate in the Hill Country or Eastern Central Texas. I have top dressed with other types of clover with good success when I get 3/4" rain or more. Any less it seems to not grow till after I get a good rain.

We threw some out before a big rain last month and it came up fine.
