Default Morning news - ORourke leads Cruz in polls

Front page of the Bryan College Station Eagle - "ORourke leds Cruz by 2 points in polls".

I can't find it online, but I have the print version in front of me.

We should not be like the hare in the race with the turtle. He sat back thinking he had this in the bag and the turtle just plugged along to win it. We need to be like Jessie Owens - run this race like our lives depend upon it. Because it does.

Funny, because 2 days ago it was Cruz leads by 9 with likely voters...

Not that I rely too much on polls but oh lying Ted shouldn’t take his elected office for granted.

Channel News 2 Houston has Robert up past Cruz "according to latest polls". This always seems to happens every time just before election. Remember when Wendy Davis was up past Abbott "according to latest polls". She lost miserably.

I cant fathom the idea of voting for the guy. I sure hate to see him win, it will be the beginning of the end for regular working people.

On the news last night I saw this. They said it was an internet poll. That got me thinking of all the posts I see here noting these type of polls and giving the link so we can skew the results. I suspect that's what happened here. I would not believe any poll where the results differed that much overnight, when no big event occurred to make people change their minds.

I think a well executed poll can deliver any result the pollsters design it to get.

I don't think Beto has a chance, but he is doing and saying the right things and avoids talking about the things that would turn voters away. He is running a very smart election.

Beto has the win in the bag! So if you were gonna vote for him just stay at home. Your vote is no longer needed.

I hope they keep writing that Beto will win big.

Maybe Dems will not bother to vote as their guy is a shoe in and the REP will all vote for fear that freak show might really win.

It makes me a little embarrassed that someone like that is even running in Texas

Me, too.

But, I'll say it sure has fired up Cruz's fundraising group. I'll proudly admit - I donated. I also told them the one thing they really needed from me wasn't my money, it was my vote. And Cruz has my vote.

Not going to lie...was getting a little nervous, but I'm starting to see Cruz support pick up big time. Maybe that was his plan to hold off a bit and then come in swinging.

The lame stream media is so predictable......."Hillary's gonna win in a land slide"........"Francis is up by 2%".........whatever

As long as conservative Texans show up at the polls, there's more of "us", than "them", and Ted will win big......just like President Trump did

In Austin, Beto yard signs are everywhere. I know Cruz said he didn't want to waste money on them because they don't really influence the vote, but if you don't know politics and that name is all you see, what are you going to remember at the polling station?

I've seen 2 Cruz signs and 100's of Beto.

Travis, Harris, and Tarrant county will be as blue as the sea. Itís all the other counties in Texas that will ensure Ted wins. No offense to any of you guys and gals that may live in those three. By all means get out there and fight the good fight. Lord knows we have plenty of leftist crazies in Montgomery county and I engage them every chance I get.

Fort Bend is likely to go blue this go round. Too many immigrants here and they are mostly voting Democrats.

Pollsters can make the results come out how they want. The only poll that matters is on election day.
