I must be new to this but everytime we process a deer we skin the entire thing up to the skull before removing the innards and meat. I'd think what they did there was a sawzall, some beer and a "I don't really care about that delicious neck meat".Most of our skins could probably have been made into rugs or wall hangings if I had any idea how to tan/cure them.
That's a mess.
