We use a front end loader. The tree we were cutting in the picture Stins posted had a trunk that was more than 50" across. Had to have a tractor anyway.

Gotcha! We split some this weekend that went 30+ across using a store bought rig. Kind of weak on some of them dodie pieces.

I can't believe this made it back to the top, that thing has split serveral tons of wood all over the state! I need to find another beam like that and have you build me one I can still remember you coming by to pick that thing up off my job in Brenham, in 2005 I believe.

Still using and abusing this old log splitter. Split some wood this weekend and blew the seal. Had to use TBH to jog my memory to tell how old this thing is

I have the brother, to the other splitter in the pics. We have had it since .....Iím wanting to say 1976. It has split many a cord of wood. Itís a back breaker.
