Texas Public Draw Hunt Grand Slam

If you were to list out the top five hunt areas in the Texas Draw Hunt system what do you think they would be? Maybe a different set. One for archery and one for gun?

I know Chaparral and James Daughtry are a must. But how about the others?

So we need a place for Turkey, Mule deer, Exotics and what else?

South Llano would be #1 for me for deer. Anywhere for mule deer, gemsbok, oryx and big horn would be awesome.

My favorite public hunts for various critters so far....

South Llano for axis/exotics.
Gene Howe for whitetail.
Caprock Canyons for mule deer. (close 2nd: Matador)
Sierra Diablo for desert bighorn.

Rita Blanca for pronghorn.
Elephant Mountain for mule deer and/or javelina.
Mason Mountain for gemsbok
Chaparral for whitetail
Caprock Canyons and/or Palo Duro for aoudad

I have been drawn for Kerr, It was fantastic, I harvested Gold medal white Fallow, small Axis buck, 2 hogs and blew the deal on a 12pt Whitetail.

If only hunted Huntsville and the chaparral. And I'm not impressed with huntsville at all. But will continue to do standby. Just wont waste a draw on it.

Chaparral for sure on the list for whitetail its prob the only place I'm applying from now on for the buck hunt. Even if it takes me 20 years for a rifle hunt.
