6.5 Grendel build

Im interested in how this comes out. Did you order the Mega upper from their website or find it somewhere else?

I am mildly interested in a Grendel. I do already have a perfectly good 300blk upper that I built for the kids to start out on but who said that is a reason enough not to build another one....

Haha. It’s the newest one. Testing it. I am not in the least bit impressed with the creedmoor round. I have much better calibers. I assure you I’m not a creedmoor fanboy. Got a smoking deal on the gun I couldn’t pass up

Ordered it from brownells. I bet you buy one when you see the price lol

I built a 20in on an aero receiver set with an ARP barrel and bolt. holds dime size groups out to 200yds ( havent shot it any further yet) with hornady ELD or SST 123GR. I get perfect ejection and the brass is fine with out the use of an adjustable gas block. I have not shot anything other than hornady through to know if it will change with other ammo.

I like how we mix it up on TBH. It's good to always keep in mind Freud's "narcissism of small differences" in situations like this: we're a group who is passionate about all the same things and can argue forever about one millimeter either way. It's pretty great, and important to keep in perspective how much we all have in common.
