Working 7 days a week until the end of October. I'm good.....hot weather deer hunting had lost its appeal to me about 10 years ago.

Booked an elk hunt for next year will a couple more TBHers......life's good.

Living through reports till start of general season. Our lease contract states general season. So no bow and no late doe for us.

I got offer overtime so I'm going to work. I'm just not that mad at the deer anymore. I usually don't shoot anything until the first forecasted week that stays 40 or below. Then I lay over enough deer meat for the year with a rifle in 10-15 minutes.

Im out as well. Good friend thats not a hunter has his daughters 1st birthday party tomorrow. He has always been there for me and my family's occasions so i will return the favor but as soon as its over im jumping in the truck and hauling tail to the lease to hopefully starting my season sunday morning through Tuesday

But opening weekend is shot for me for awhile. My daughter has an 10/1 birthday. Until I can convince her to spend it in a blind I'm in a bind. 290 west out of Austin was full of loaded down trucks today.
