    Canon Video Camera

I need some help here guys and gals, once I buy one I wont be able do it again for a while so I want to make the right choice.

Looking at the Canon HV20 here

    and the HG10 here

Which one would you buy for filming hunts and why?

    Both look like nice cameras.

    I like the HV20.
Guess I just like having it record to a tape and fear the unknown of hard-drive.

We picked up the XH-A1 last summer/fall and have really enjoyed it.

I was informed that you don't necessarily have to film onto a miniHD tape, but you could use the miniDV tapes and have it record.
They are a lot cheaper if you are filming a bunch of stuff.
I'm sure there is a strong reason to use the HD tapes, but at $10 each, we have opted for the less expensive.

I went with the HV20. It is the camera that I intially started looking at. I also like the idea of the tape as well. This camera packs alotta punch for its size. The footage I have taken and then played back from camcorder to my HDTV has impressive image quality. I'm Gonna like thisun

Now I am trying to familarize myself with the controls so I am ready by turkey season.
