First Buck & First Bow Kill!

Shot this big boy this morning in NW Harris County. This is my first buck, my first deer with a bow, and the first deer taken on the property. Shot it from a homemade tree stand at about 40 yards with a Hoyt Vector with a G5 fixed broadhead. Since it's my first buck i just dropped the cape off for a shoulder mount and the taxidermist said he will check age, but does anyone have any guesses on age and weight? He was the biggest-bodied deer i've seen in person. Sorry for the awful pics!

Congrats! Hard to say on weight, but he looks 6.5+ to me.

The pics aren't awful, blood is part of hunting. His body looks huge, 150 lbs at least i would think. Age, I'm going with 5.5. He looks real old in the face. Congrats on the first buck! Great memory.

Congrats on your buck! Really nice one. I would say 5 1/2 years old at least.

Great deer for Harris Co. I'd say 5+ on him, on the safe side
