Posting Pics

Newbie dumb question but when posting pics I resize them to Web Large. Quality seems to suffer. Looking at some of yours, that doesn't seem to be the case. How do you get them to post I here and retain that quality look?

I don't know how others do it but I host them on photobucket and use the share link. You can resize them with the edit function to about 600x600 which seems to be a good size for forums.

Many here host on Flickr also and use the share links.

I am always on my phone and don't like tapatalk so I downloaded a free photo editor. Then I resize the pictures to less than 800 but keep the same aspect ratio.
