And these bucks are still on the hoof because?

Because...I found a small corner of Texas Hill Country heaven, unpressured, unhunted and rich in whitetail habitat - without any human management what so ever. These deer are true Texas Hill Country whitetail, no protein, no corn, co-existing with a very small herd of cattle within an expansive space. I'm blessed to witness a whitetail herd from their beginning to end...and the only pressure they experience are through natural predation...and my camera's click. Places like this are truly rare and the hope, it remains this way till my days here are done.

These are awesome pictures. I've got a Canon 20D and my mom has a 30D. She asked me how come I don't take my camera out there, I told her it's to loud because I don't have a big enough zoom haha!
