    Started New Blind Today

Ok so after all the discussion around blind skin. I finally decided that the most cost affective skin is plain old particle siding. Like the stuff used to build sheds. It comes in 4X8 sheets and runs 15-20 a sheet. Easy to cut with a jig or circular saw, and is preprimed on the outside. As of today I have spent 150 on steel (for the frame) and 29 for the 3/4 treated plywood floor.
Here are the plans I have drawn up.
    Floor

    Front

    Back (ignore the door)

    Door

    Left Side

    Right Wall

I've got 5 years, so far out of a blind with that stuff on the outside. I did put a coat of paint on it, but it should last a pretty good while!

We are learning as we go. Using a mig welder and lots of scrap it does not take long to figure it out. We are sticking with all 14 or 16 ga metal so not having to change wire speed or power much.

                  Finished Frame with 10x24 windows

All that is left is the door.

Hopefully will have it skinned by the end of tomorrow.

That's an impressive build. It looks like it is going to last a very long time.
