Octane Drop away

I have a Octane drop away mounted on my Strother Wrath. My arrows are fletched with 3 3 Inch feathers with a lot of Helical. The inside feather is hitting my rest, the felt on that side is being pulled away and the feather is showing signs of wear. To me that says my rest is not falling fast enough.Can I speed up the drop by shortening the cord at the rest ?

Idk about the octane rest. Assuming it functions and sets up as a quad or ripcord, the lower you have your string mounted on the cable the sooner it should fall. Example: most tell you to tie in the string 3to 4 inches below your rest. But if you extended it to 5 or so it should drop sooner.
