Default Roaches in Blind

I am out getting things ready for the season and noticed my Blind is basically infested with cockroaches... I can do spiders, snakes just about anything except roaches. Is there any solutions besides roach spraying the heck out of it and creating a scent I donít want in my Blind?

I was hoping to shoot a pig out of it this weekend, but no way Iím sitting in there right no.

I can honestly say that in over 45 years of deer hunting, and in all corners of this state, that I have NEVER seen a roach in a deer blind.. Many different bugs and critters but never a roach...…..

But the problem could easily be solved... Bifen...

Yep. Bug Bomb it and then a preventative powder or spray. Sealing it up air tight helps as well.

Just spray with a can of Bengal roach spray. Smell will go away quickly and absolutely kills roaches and keep on killing them.

Sprinkle a little boric acid powder on the floor along the walls. It works...roaches will be dead in about 3 days.

I use unscented foggers in my stands. They kill wasps, spiders, roaches, scorpions and will leave a residual poison for a couple months. The residual will pile the wasps up when they try to use stand for hibernation. I mainly use it for the scorpions.

I had 3 years without wasps in Central Texas. They are on the bottom of the food chain and if you are not seeing wasps you will not have fawns and turkey polts that year.
A wasp bite sks, and a fresh cut onion will suck out the venom.
Might be a good fawn and polt this year.......

Was too late to switch stands.

Sevin Dust should work. Roaches are always cleaning themselves and ingest whatever they walk through.

Careful not to use anything that could irritate or harm you (or other blind hunters).

Malathion spray is 100% effective and harmless to humans after it dries, but it will stink terribly for a couple days.

Mix boric acid with powdered sugar and place in a jar lid on the floor or shelf.
