I’ve been shooting 4 fletch for a couple of years trying various vanes. I’ve had good luck with AAE elite 160 and pro max vanes with a really well tuned bow and ram cats, but I didn’t test those at long distance in the wind with a broadhead which is where you’ll really find out whether or not you have enough fletching. This year I’ll be hunting an open, windy spot where longer shots may be required, so I’m testing fletching configurations more heavily this year.
One of the vanes I’ll be testing is a max stealth with an aggressive helical. Others have reported good success with that setup. I have some concerns about noise and the drag effect of the larger 4 fletch and helical, but based on the reports I’m hearing I have to try it. I’ve got some fletched up just haven’t been able to test them at distance yet.

Got inspired so I left the office early. Grabbed some Lonestar and broke out the Bitz. I’ll let them set up and shoot tomorrow. This has been on my list of things to play with. 2” blazers with a left helical. I only got 25 yds in the back but I’ll let y’all know what I think. 27.25” FMJ 340’s.

With a drop away it really shouldn’t matter. But trad I get it.

The truth of the matter is that:
1. Getting shot in the wiener sucks.
2. Getting shot in the wiener by 3 or four fletch sucks.
3. Getting shot in the wiener by any broad head would suck.
This is the conclusion of my extensive testing.
