    Sure makes it hard to judge a new deer that shows up after the rut. Trail cameras sure help keep up with the age of deer.

        Looks like the pics you see of a CWD deer. He didn’t have much fat on him to begin with but I’d consider that a mercy kill at this point.

          I think he just put in a crazy amount of miles in a short time. he is looking a little better today..

                  I had one very similar in weight loss. Was an avg mature deer for us 170-175lb and I killed him last week at 125lb. He wasn’t rutting at all this year so highly doubt he would have made it

                      I have a buck that looks the same way. I’m not sure if he is going to make it. He was going to get a pass regardless this year, but he does not look good. We feed year around and do food plots so lack of food is not a problem.
