Son’s Maverick County Deer

My son and I Garrett were fortunate enough to go back to a low fence ranch in Maverick County where I killed the deer of my lifetime this November. We hunted until the last evening then this old bruise came strolling in. He grossed 158 7/8 adding in what would have been a matching brow tine that was broken off last week. Great time sending time in the brush with my son, good times.

how much did he weigh?

He was rutted down pretty hard I’m guessing close to 190 or so, most of these mature bucks on this ranch are well over 200# before the rut.
