I don't think Trump is much different than Hillary. Granted, Hillary and Bernie would both be disasters. I think Trump would be too though. He's agreed with much of what Hillary is in favor of all of his life. He's not an all-out socialist like Bernie though. Trump would likely nominate liberal Supreme Court Justices, or at best, "moderates" who would side with the liberals on all the important issues. Trump would compromise with the liberals in Congress on everything. Trump would continue, if not expand, the crony capitalism machine in government. He'll run to the middle/left as soon as the general election campaign starts (if he gets the nomination), and, based on his lifelong record, he'll govern from there if he is elected. He MIGHT be better than Hillary in a few areas, but on many important issues he'd be pretty much the same. He will do all of the things his supporters are so opposed to, and they'll end up being incredibly disappointed to learn that his campaign was a complete scam.

If the basic end results would be the same, would it be better for the Democrats to get the blame or the Republicans? Which situation would be less difficult to recover from?

    Tough call.

Trump doesn't have a race or vag card to protect him... we could at least begin to see a return to separation of powers instead of a feckless Congress too afraid to stop a tyrannical POTUS for fear of being called a "racist", or sexist in SHillary's case.

I don't know, brother. I don't see Trump being committed to separation of powers either.

In it's current form, yes. I believe it should be amended to state that at minimum one of the parents is a US citizen or has filed paperwork to become a citizen.

          Interesting read...

You don't think that is exactly what Trump is doing?

Then he'd be impeached, as should have Obama on numerous occasions so far. But we all know why he hasn't.

I think Trump's timing is impeccable. Many of his supporters believe he is not a life long politician because he has not held a government office. While true, Trump has for many, many years waited for the right political climate to run for office. He has considered running multiple times and ultimately decided against it because he was advised he wouldn't win. In the mean time he as grown his national image (for better or worse...no such thing as bad media). Now that the mob mentality has taken hold of so many his boisterous talk and outlandish style works whereas years ago he would have been laughed off the stage. It has been an interesting rise/path to his current run for POTUS.

Personally, I don't trust him any more than I trust Hillary.

Agreed. But the chances of that happening would be slim to none, I'm afraid.

It just sucks to have a year that should have been a slam dunk for a conservative and be facing the possibility of not being able to even get a conservative nominated.

Unfortunately, in the future that's the only way anyone will ever be elected in this country! That's how Obama did it! "Rome is the mob, win over the mob, you control everything"

I think we have Rove/Romney to blame for that.

Would love to see a clause that says all presidents must have served minimum 2 years in the military.
