    New Targets at Salt Grass

We just ordered 6 new targets and 4 new inserts that will be here in time for the March shoot. We will have a total of 30 animals starting in March. The new targets are Rineharts. The larger ones will have universal scoring rings (IBO and ASA). The smaller targets will be IBO, as they don't have the availability of universal scoring rings.

Just a reminder... Spartan's Round will be on Saturdays only. Regular 3-D will be available both Saturdays and Sundays. With the weather warming up and the abundance of rain over the last month or so, please remember to bring your insect repellent! The skeeters can get pretty mean on the range.

The February scores have been posted on the Salt Grass website.

The new targets are in! They will be up for the March shoot. I have also been told that the lights are back on at Salt Grass! Only 18 months after Ike! We now have electric service for the concession area, as well as lights on the practice range. Things are moving right along. Hopefully we will have a new pavilion before long (it is in the works, but governments tend to move slowly).

Salt Grass would like to thank all 100 participants who were able to make it to this weekend's 3D shoot.

We were not able to set up the field for SPARTANS this month but we will have it ready for April's Shoot.

With 30 targets and beautiful weather it was not surprising to see scores above 300.

Congratulations to Keith Rudasill who scored an amazing 338 in the Male BowHunter Division!

All in all the shoot went amazing this weekend and hope all of you guys come back next month when SPARTANS resumes.

We always have food (BBQ Chicken, Hot Dogs, Sausage Dogs) but we welcome suggestions.

We will post all scores on the web by the end of the week. Also, a special thanks to Don Sims who always helps out in the range. See you in APRIL!
