Just make sure you try the grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich served on banana bread. It's the best thing for your appetite after a lap dance.

I am leaving the 11th of December, driving out there for the World Series of Team Roping Finale. If you like seafood, I suggest the Rio seafood buffet. It is pricey, but its all you can stuff in your face seafood. Downtown is cheaper on everything than the strip. What sort of stuff interests you? Last year i went and saw all of the car building shops that are on TV (Kounts Kustoms, Welderup, Rick's Restorations). If you like mexican food, go to Casa Don Juan.

If your into shopping and don’t want to spend as much as in the shops at the casinos. There are nice outlet malls at the south and north end of the strip. We’ve always loaded up on clothes for the whole family when we are there. Silverton casino has always been a bad place for me. Something about a bass pro shop attached to a casino causes me to lose money. Lots of great places to eat and if you get off the strip a bit the prices come down to normal.

Go check out the natural history museum. I know it sounds kind of weird for Vegas, but my cousins husband donated all the animal mounts in there before he died from Parkinson's. He collected many great trophies before he died. We went and checked them out last time we went. He was the AD at UNLV back when they were good at basketball

If you like really good Italian food, try Maggiano's downtown at the Town Square Mall.

If you want a great and I do mean great meal, Michael's in South Pointe casino. All the stock and participants horses will be housed there too.

We've just decided on the same trip for 7 days from the 26th-1st, New Years should be pretty cool.

If you are into shopping, and resale shops, hit up Buffalo Exchange. It's off the strip and is a neat shop, lots of new things that are unworn, still with tags. Lots of cool clothing/shoes/accessory stuff to look at with it being Vegas, both mens and womens too. We did hit the outlet on the south end of town and it was good, both our boys loaded up on Under Armour gear as it was cheaper than anywhere we have found, including the outlets in MS and FL.

One place that I have heard about many times is Lotus of Siam. It's a Chinese spot that has what some claim is the best Chinese/Hunan in the country, in a little shopping center. We are definitely trying it for sure this trip.

Rick's Restoration is neat, they are nice and will talk to you as well, very cool people. The Pawn shop, just go see it, it's a tiny showroom but the show makes it look huge. They sell lots of shirts though, lol. Kounts Kustoms was neat. I ran into Steve from Welderup at the DFW airport and he was very cool, going to check his place out as well. He was a very nice guy.

                        Femont street is fun.

I always stop at a hotdog place outside of Circus Circus. They have a giant hot dog for $3 and a nacho cheese pump. Best thing after many drinks!

Freemont street is a blast, especially during NFR, should be a lot of love country music played there.

Make sure you go see at least one Cirque de Solei show. I did not want to go the first time I went but they are awesome.

If there is a group of y'all going, limo's everywhere. Way more fun than a cab and not much more money.

Go to the convention center at least of not the others for the cowboy Christmas. Lots of cool stuff there.
