Default How many of us would’ve crapped our pants?

Let alone be still and just let it leave on it own? Ok this did not happen to me, it happened to a GIRL from Dayton.

EDIT...
Upon seeing the photo many people asked "Why didn't you kill it?" #1 Reason - You are FAR more likely to be bitten by a snake while trying to kill it then if you leave it alone (especially when it's in this position!) #2 Reason - It was just hoping for a meal, when it didn't find one (it can't swallow me WHOLE) it would go away... which is exactly what happened.
Snakes are not aggressive, even venomous ones like this adult copperhead prefer to not use their venom for anything other than subduing prey, but will use it for defense if necessary. If this happens to you, stop, take a deep breath and SIT STILL!

My scariest hunting moment EVER just occurred... *Can you see it?*

I don't know if I would have crapped my pants or not, but I sure wouldn't have been able to take a picture.

I bet your heart stopped for a moment. Good thing you didn't overreact.

A couple years ago I was checking feeders during the summer in shorts and sneakers. I happened to look down and there was a 3-4' rattler coiled up less than 18" away. It never rattled, but looked ready to bite. I just about died right then and there.

Exact thing happened to me with a coral snake. Sitting cross legged against a tree with my hands in my lap. Dozed off and woke up with a big coral snake coiled up inches from my fingers. Never jumped up so quick in my life.

Terrible. I live in Copperhead country. I've been inches from them so many times it's not funny. Extremely glad they are pretty docile.

Had a rattle snake climb right through my legs, while fishing on the rocks in Surfside. Thought it was pretty cool actually. He acted like I wasn't even there.

And that is why I drove 1 hour to buy a new chair when mine broke while deer hunting in 91 degree temps with 97% humidity.

Ain't no way I'm sitting on the ground.
